February Events

Backpack Ministry volunteering is now available after 11:00am Mass on Sundays. Help us distribute food and toiletries to our brothers and sisters in need in the area. See Michael after Mass to get involved.

Sunday, February 2nd- Celebrate the baptism of Gianna Rose Piaskowski! All are welcome to join us in the church at 10:00am for the baptism. Treats will be provided by the Piaskowski family after Mass. (We will also have the baptism of Chloe Klarr during Mass that day 🙂. Praise God for the gift of life!) 

Sunday, February 9th- World Marriage Sunday: Join us at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate your marriage and receive a special blessing during Mass. And join us afterward for refreshments and fellowship in the office! 

Sunday, February 9th- CPR Training after Mass (for those who signed up) in the parish offices sponsored by our Health Ministry Team. 

Sunday, February 9th- Confession available before Mass on the second Sunday of the month from 10:15am to 10:45am. 

Saturday, February 15th- 10:00am Backpack Ministry. Help us distribute food and toiletries to our brothers and sisters in need in the area. Meet in the St. Aloysius Parish Offices (to the left of the church). No signup required! Contact Michael with any questions schultz.michael@aod.org.

Sunday, February 16th- Sandwich making for Neighborhood Services in the offices after 11:00am Mass. 

Monday, February 17th- Holy Hour from 7:00pm-8:00pm in church. Fellowship to follow in the lobby of the Book Tower. 

Tuesday, February 18th- St. Al's Dinner Party: All are welcome to a dinner party hosted by our parishioner, Allie! This is a great opportunity to give newcomers a taste of our St. Aloysius community and connect with fellow parishioners.

Saturday, February 22nd- 11:00am Funeral of Carla Ann Holmes at St. Aloysius. 

Saturday, February 22nd- 5:00pm Vigil Mass will be sung by the Joshua Chorale at St. Aloysius. They will be singing excerpts from Josef Rheinberger's Mass in E flat as well as other choral pieces.

• Women's Small Group #1: Meetings are once a month on a chosen Wednesday at 7pm in Detroit.
• Women's Small Group #2: Meetings are every other Thursday at 6:30pm in Royal Oak/Detroit.
• Men's Small Group #1: Meetings are on every other Wednesday from 7-9pm in Clawson.
• Men's Small Group #2: Meetings are weekly on Thursdays at 7pm in Hamtramck. (limited capacity)
