This #Lent, as a St. Aloysius community, we'll be prayerfully reading through "Dilexit Nos" (translated to "He loves us"), an encyclical written by Pope Francis on the human and divine love of the heart of Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to reflect on this encyclical as you journey through Lent, as a way to draw nearer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. If you're in a small group, be sure to make time to read and discuss there and keep an eye out for more ways to unpack this beautiful text as a community! In addition, we will offer a discussion after Mass on Sunday, March 23rd led by Jimmy.
Here are a few ways you can access the encyclical (some don't cost a dime!)

Saturday, March 29th- Jubilee Year of Hope Lenten Retreat
This Lent, we find ourselves in the midst of a Jubilee Year of Hope, a special year in which Pope Francis, according to the tradition of the Church, has invited us all to embrace the call to become "pilgrims of hope"!
To respond to that call, we invite you to join us for a Lenten retreat to one of the jubilee sites in the Archdiocese of Detroit, the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, to participate in the journey with the saints pilgrimage. This pilgrimage will allow you to interact almost directly with the relics of the Twelve Apostles and other saints in the peaceful setting of our local Cathedral.
Join us for this half-day retreat, beginning with Mass at 8:00 a.m. and concluding with lunch. Registration is $10 per person. To secure your spot, please contact Jimmy O'Leary at oleary.jimmy@aod.org.

** Save the Date! Family Friendly Holy Hour Saturday, April 5th at 9:00am
While families are always welcome at any adoration opportunity, these special times are designed with little ones in mind. We embrace the joyful noises (and even the not-so-joyful ones!) and energy that children bring. Feel free to bring kids of all ages without worry. Come as you are and spend time with Jesus as a family! You are welcome to come even if you don't have children, just know it won't be 100% quiet!
